Oily skin: heavy creams better than lotions?!?


I'm finding a curious solution to my oily skin: that a little bit of the old fashioned heavy creams like nivea (or even vaseline) on wet skin work better at controlling my oiliness (and make my skin smoother as a side benefit) than light lotions or even mattifying gels.

Anyone else find this also? Does it maybe stop overproduction of oil? Maybe grandma was right about cold cream, hehe!

oh yes,it works!i went through the same thing only a few days ago.one hell of a useful discovery it was...lol.my skin is like sooo oily,and this really helps me.

I have the oiliest eyelids ever??


My eyelids get oily so quickly!! For my t-zone I use a mattifying gel, but I really don't have anything for my lids...my mascara smears on my upper lids easily and I rarely wear eyeliner because I think it'll smear too. Solutions???

You can buy 'grease paper' from your local pharmacy or super-drug. They're in a little book and you tear out one of the papers and wipe it over the greasy area and it absorbs the grease. I think it leaves foundation behind cuz its great for using if your face gets shiny when you've got make up on.
Perfect for popping in your handbag too! :)
