What can I do for my Lab who has an ear infection?
I made an appt for Monday, but what can I do to help soothe her ear until then? I am giving her aspirin and cleaning her ear with cleansing solution that was given to me by my vet a while back. The odor is really bad and she keeps shaking her ears!
Aspirin can cause intestinal bleeding and diarrhea, and will do little to relieve her pain. Warm the cleansing solution like you would milk for a baby in a bottle before flushing the ear, the warmth will help soothe the ear and soften the wax more.

Which product is most effective and most soothing to a dogs ears?
This does not apply to any of my dogs! Just doing a little poll, on Virbac Epi Otic Cleansing Solution and Zymox with Hydrocortisone Otic Enzymatic Solution. If you use any one of these products, which one do you think is more effective and more soothing to a dogs ears? I have already spoken to the vet, about the two products, for future use, but I just want to know if you use any of these products, which one, why you like it, and how it helped your dogs ears!?Thanks guys!

The Zymox .. it seems to provide immediately relief. And it cured a yeasty ear problem in a dog that nothing else helped.
