22 and looking for schooling that takes 2 years max?


I am currently stuck in a 11 dollar an hour reception job and i want to be making more money, i live with my boyfriend who makes 3 dollars more than i do, we live in an 2 bedroom apartment and we can barely afford it, i want to make more money yet i don't know what job might be in demand , i went to school for aesthetics (spa professional) and it didn't pan out to support me full time, the hours were never consistent , you could never plan around them and people canceled all the time , so it wasn't dependable. so i am still paying my school loan for that and it sucks, i need to find something because i can't be doing this forever. any helpful suggestions of careers that are booming right now? i tried calling a college counselor but they want you to know what you are doing. P.S. i was never really studious in high school and struggled with math and science. i have considered being an administrative assistant

im 23 and felt stuck at a 11.50 secretary job so I decided to return to college. Keep in mind I'm still at that job bc even tho the pay sucks I have much time to study. I graduate Fall 2009 with an Associate CAD degree. I started Spring 2009 and graduate Fall 2009. I'm packing a 2 year degree into 1 year. I work full time and go to school over full time at night.
After that degree I plan to not stop with school, I'm moving on to a bachelor's in mechanical engineering , but hopefullly I will find a job using my two year degree that way I can make more money with less hours.

I have to work extra hard now for something I could have already had but when I was younger I thought I knew it all!

Just keep in mind that anything easy wont be worth it. If it was that way everyone would be doctors!

I would check out your local colleges to see what is available to you and go from there.

Personally I would go for a 4 year degree , but It sounds like you dont have that much time so look into your local college Continuing Education Dept.
& see what associate degree programs they offer also.
