acne help please ANSWER?
what does this mean:
Do a steam facial maybe once a week for up to 10 minutes, to open up your pores and get rid of blackheads and acne. To do this, get a bowl of boiling water and a towel, and just sit with your face in the steam, using the towel as a little tent/mini sauna over your head and the bowl. Caution: doing it for longer then 10 minutes will just stress out your skin, which will just make it worse! Wash your face right away afterwords with a cleanser made for your type of skin. Then rinse and splash your face with cold water to close your pores or, alternatively, get an ice cube and wait for it to melt a little. Then smooth it gently over your face until it melts; this closes your pores and prevents dirt going back into them. An alternative to this is to use a facial scrub to get rid of flaky, dead skin cells. --- correct me if im wrong but dus that mean i have to get a towel, wet it in hot water & put the towel on my face, lie die for 10mins afterwards wash it off???

I put acne medicine on in the morning and don't touch my face during the day and keep my hair out of the way then at night i put a foaming cleanser on thourhgly then splash water on my face to wash away.
Is that enough to keep the pores clean and make acne go away?
My hair is long.
i have 2 feet of it.
I wear it up in a ponytail everyday though
I know A LOT about this. FIRST: is your hair long? if so a shorter cut or no bangs or fringe could be helpful to your skin. Also if you have oily skin and dry it out with soaps, don't forget to use light, oil free lotion on your face. Birth control could help a lot such as YAZ/Yasmin, but it does have side affects that you should look into, also if you have health insurance, dermatology could be a good decision, go once a month, there's also a soap called Cetaphil, which can be found at CVS. The soap i use works really well it's called Clearcell. Not Clear-A-Cell. Clearcell is sold by dermatologists. And also change a little bit of your diet, citrus fruit helps skin, and try taking pills like vitamins, or fish oil. Also when you wash your face DO NOT use cold water, cold water closes your pores. When you wash your face use warm/hot water, and do not use a towel to dry off your face unless it hasn't been used yet. GOOD LUCK!
