Whitespot on fish.......?
I have 5 fish and 2 of them have white spots all over there back fins, they didn't have them last night but i noticed them today when i went home for lunch, I went to pet smart on way back to work and bought some 'Interpet' Anti white spot treatment. anyway my question is do I treat the whole tank? as i assume the water will be contaminated..?
I did read the leaflet that came with the treatment but it didn't say also i have one of them stigray filters with the carbon things inside, how do go about that? do I remove the carbon parts and leave the sponge part in the filter or remove the filter altogether?

Its a coldwater tank so I don't have a heater. They are fancy goldfish
35L is 8UK Gallons considering its 2 gallons for the first fish then 1 gallon per fish after, I have 3 fancy goldfish books and all say the same, also the booklet that came with my fish tank showed that 5 was the adequate amount!

Hi, To me it seems like your fish have ich or possibly white spot. From what you have written i would say it would be ich, my fish have currently had this too.
For ich because the life cycle is temperature-dependent and the ich can only be killed by raising the tank temperature to 78-80°F over 48 hours to speed the cycle of tomite formation and release.
You can also use salt to de-stress your fish and make the water toxic to ich.
P.S salt wont hurt ur fish =]
And last but not least you can buy a treatment i use Wardley Promethyasul a broad spectrum aquarium fish treatment for Bacterial, Fungal & Parasitic deseases but if u cant find this use Rid-Ich.

if yes then which one. mostly the pads, spot treatment or anti acne treatment??
umm...I'm not really sure which one does. It all comes down to the 3 products they selected for you based on your skin evaluation. I have blackheads to and I have the products number 7, 32 and 72. So I'm not really sure
