Why would yasmin stop working for acne after two years?


I've been on yasmin for almost three years now to help manage my acne. for the first two, it worked beautifully, but since a couple of months ago, i've experienced horrible breakouts that cause scarring. What would cause this to be the case? Does your body become immune to the hormones? Does anyone have any reccomendations for other birth control pills that would work for my skin?
