Do stretch mark removal creams actually work?
I'm thinking of buying the stretch mark control cream from clarins but before I buy this pricey product I would like to know whether these creams actually work.
I'm 17 years old and I have stretch marks on my thighs and butt and I really want to get rid of them!! what is the best method?

I use it and it does fade but it takes FOREVER!! geez! Try this it worked for me you can't even tell I had them... And its SUPER FAST, faster than anything else PROMISE. Take a warm/hot shower. After you dry off... get a few Vitamin E capsules (oil) cut them open and spread the oil where the stretch marks are and then cover it with some plastic wrap. Get you a heating pad put it over the plastic wrap... I slept with mine over night on a medium-low setting (works best & fast) or you can put it on a high setting for about 30mins-1hr (takes 4 or 5 times in a row/nightly). When your time is up remove the plastic wrap! Viola! Instant results! Good luck hope I helped! Also to keep them less visible I recommend every other night or atleast 2x a week! I done this for about 8 months (even tho I couldnt really see them) and I havent had to do them since..except in the winter when my skin gets dry. After you do the vitamin E gel and heating pad thing... Try this as well! When u get out of the shower get the lotion you use (I mixed my cocoa butter lotion with baby oil and a little victoria secrets for smell) add some coffee grains in it and rub in circles where the stretch marks were and then wipe off with a wet (warm) wash cloth. Makes your skin silky soft and keeps them less visible as well! Good luck! and I promise this helps!

Does anyone know of a plastic surgeon in Michigan who performs stretch mark removal?
Also how soon after having a baby can you have the procedure done?
How much does it cost? I have pretty bad stretch marks and I am looking for a laser treatment to get rid of them ASAP!!
So, can lasers really erase stretch marks?
The answer, I’m sorry to say, is no. Since stretch marks represent a permanent change in the dermis (the deeper layer of skin beneath the surface layer known as the epidermis), there is no amount of resurfacing that can erase them. However, studies have shown that laser treatments can lessen the depth of stretch marks in some patients, with an improvement rate of between 20 and 50%. The improvement is believed to be largely due to the laser’s stimulation of increased production of collagen and elastin in the dermal (deeper) layer of the skin, where stretch marks are formed.
Lasers are most effective on immature stretch marks (those that are still red in color), and many doctors say that they are nearly useless on more mature (white) stretch marks. Furthermore, for darker skin types, laser treatment of stretch marks is generally considered unadvisable, largely due to the risks of causing hyperpigmentation changes in the skin.
Eric Berger, MD, a laser surgeon who performs many different types of cosmetic laser procedures at his medical aesthetic laser center in New York City, does not offer laser services solely for the treatment of stretch marks. The reason for this, he says, is that the results of laser treatments for stretch marks are so insignificant that they are not worth the patient’s time and the expense of the multiple treatments required to achieve any noticeable improvement. However, he does note that some slight improvement in the appearance of stretch marks on the abdomen has been achieved as a pleasant side benefit of the Titan skin tightening procedure.
In short, there is no “cure” for stretch marks. Worse yet, prevention of stretch marks is not
