Sun Lamp Acne

Could you just like burn off acne?

So, during the summer, the sun would like "burn off" my acne. And it was great. So I was just wondering if I got a magnetizer (of whatever they're called..what detectives used back in the day) and if I sat under like a desk lamp with that magnetizer, if it would be equivalent to the sun...
I'm being dead serious here.
I have SkinID but it's going sloooow and I have until May 16 to be PERFECT.
I being desperate.
And I know that May is like 2 months away, but I also want clear skin like right NOW. lol.
Thanks guys! (:

You're thinking of a "magnifying glass", not a "magnetizer". A magnetizer would magnetically charge your face and cause silverware to stick to you, similar to the conundrum our stalwart hero finds himself in in the cinematic masterpiece "Ernest Goes To Jail".

You should definitely try burning off acne using a high powered bulb and a magnifying glass, though. I see no reason why it wouldn't work, and can't think of anything that could go wrong.

Why do my tablets require me to stay out of sunlight?

I take a tablet daily because I sometimes get really bad acne. I always wondered why, but on the label it says "Avoid exposing skin to direct sunlight or sun lamps". Why would that be?

I have actually noticed that I have a mysterious tan, though it is winter here. I was wondering if perhaps the medication has made my skin more susceptible to create melanin? Or something? If not then what is it?

Certain medications make your skin more photosensitive (meaning, light-sensitive). So what might normally not effect you (in terms of sun exposure) might make your skin burn and/or increase the sun's harmful rays penetration of your skin while taking those tablets.

It doesn't have anything to do with melanin, but good guess. :)
