Tazorac
Has anyone ever used "Tazorac" cream for acne, and not quit using it due to side effects?
I hear your face could get red and dry, but that is a way to tell the medication is working.
It takes about 4 months for you to see total results and for your skin to become completely accustomed to the medication. Patients typically see the most peeling and sensitivity during the first month. Tazorac is generally reserved for patients with the oiliest skin types because it is so drying. It can sometimes help to back off on the frequency of application -- to every other night until your skin becomes more accustomed to the medicine. It also helps to apply a moisturizer before you apply the Tazorac -- and be sure to not apply too much, a pea-sized amount is usually enough to cover the entire face. It is very effective for serious acne in patients with oily skin types, however. So, if this is you, then it worth pursuing. I am still using it -- although I can't use it every night (but I do have to use other medications because I also have rosacea).

Tazorac Review && The Proper Way to Apply It!!!
Do retinol acne medications (like tazorac) cause any problems with getting a tattoo in the medicated area?
Retinol based products are good for curing acne but if you choose to get a tattoo in the area that is medicated (like my back) will there be any side effects or will it increase pain?
Your tattoo artist will clean the area thoroughly before giving you the tattoo. However, if Retinol A causes you any burning or iritation, it's going to make the skin more sensitive during the process.
After receiving the tattoo, I wouldn't put anything other than Lubriderm or some other dermatologist tested for at least the first 2 weeks. Any chemical can not only damage the tattoo, but also the raw skin.
Finally, if you're prone to acne in the area you're getting the tatttoo, I would wait until your acne is under better control. If a pustule develops under your fresh tattoo, it will force the ink out, leaving a hole in your new artwork.
