Tea tree oil on teen acne?
can anyone tell me how effective tea tree oil is on teen acne or give me some other good home remedies?

OH OH OH!! i absolutely love it. I have severe excema and it gets on my face sometimes and i use tea tree oil on it. My sister uses it for acne spot treatment as well. It's a good natural astingent, but a word of advice-don't get it too close to your eyes! it can sting like no other. I also use it in lotion...i take eucerin lotion (you can use a face lotion that it natural and chemical free) and mix a small amount of the tea tree oil in it. It doesn't sting as bad or smell to high heaven, but i can tell it cleanses my skin while it moisturizes.
Other things that i've done- for acne i will lay with a hot towel on my face to open up my pores for about 10 minutes, and then put a oatmeal/milk/honey/herb heated mix on my face and let it harder. I actually just did it about ten minutes ago haha. Then i wash it off and apply a natural moisturizer like the eucerin with tt oil. I only need to do it about once a week, so i'll usually do it on a friday or saturday night when i'm watching tv so i'm not watching the clock.
Ingestible stuff- have you thought about omega 3 oil supplements? I'm not one for ingesting stuff, but it's natural and found in fish and it has improved my skin dramatically. Also, a vitamin d supplement will help with redness.
Also, exercise and wash your face afterwards, i find the sweat helps to clean my skin. it's the body's natural astringent when used correctly.
Bottom line though, eat well! don't eat processed sugars and carbohydrates like they're your best friend. munch on those greens and eat all the fruits and veggies you want! even if you don't like them, it only takes 12 tastes for the tongue to learn to like a taste. It might be rough at first, but you'll get use to it!
