Topical Zinc Acne

herbal acne treatments, i've tried everything!?

I have had acne on my chest, shoulders, back, and lower back for 6 years. I have seriously tried EVERYTHING.

I WILL NOT USE CHEMICALS, I have tried them all, benzol peroxide, etc etc, retin A, Duac, and the list goes on.

Right now I am using a sea salt, lavender, jaboba oil scrum, and it has removed half of the acne, but it needs a little extra kick to get rid of the rest, I am taking zinc right now, and I am also going to be taking some maca root to balance my hormones, and drink lots of water.

Any suggestions on other things I could try? Internal things, topical seems to either make things worse or dry me out.
you people on here are useless. you just want the two points. thanks alot for the common sense. not.

Sandalwood can be really good, have you tried that? I'm in Australia so there's a lot of it here, but it's available in other countries too. Active Manuka honey is also amazing but very expensive. It draws out dirt, and is very anti inflammatory and antibiotic, so long as you're not sensitive or allergic to bees or bee products. Diluted Tea tree or melaleuca oil is great for the infections. I've also heard emu oil completely heals acne, but I won't use it because they kill the emu for the oil. Anyway these are all Australian things but you can find them in other countries.

How long do I leave Zinc Oxide cream/ointment on face for acne?

I am running out of my retin-A microgel and my insurance doesn't cover it anymore. I've been taking zinc picolinate 50mg a day for acne, but I heard that topical zinc works well too. With the retin-A you just apply a thin layer before bed and then wash off in the morning. I was wondering if I buy a zinc oxide cream which I heard works good, like diaper rash cream (40% zinc oxide)... how long do I leave it on? Do I do a thin layer overnight or, 10 minutes let it sit on then wash off? I'm not sure...

I would try a thin layer overnight and wash it off in the morning.
