Lump behind tragus piercing, help?

Hi guys, I have had my tragus pierced for about 4 months now and I have taken good care of it but it now has a kind of lump on the back of it. I've read several things on what it could be, a keloid or scar tissue? Anyway I have been treating it with sea salt solution for a few days and it has gone flat and it feels scabby but its not. Is this supposed to happen or should I try something else?

this was like a god to me!

good luck, and 4 months is still quite new, so keep trying!

tattoo and keloid scars?

hi there i have had acne for a few years now and am now on a course of roaccutane and things look to be clearing, from spots on my chest i have had keloid scars form and these are going to be treated with some more injections afer the roaccutane has finished. question is could i get a tattoo on my bicep area on my arm as i have had cuts elsewhere and these have not turned into keloids????
thanks for the answer, i dont want to tattoo a scar sorry if it sounded like it. i was going to get one on the bicep area where no scars are :)

A "qualified" yes. I would ask a local artist to look at the area you have in mind and give you their opinion. Usually scar tissue is not a great idea, the ink tends to disperse more in scar tissue leaving the tat a bit blurry. Get multiple professional opinions and then follow your instinct.
Some scars can be reduced to an acceptable level with "OTC" ( over the counter) products found in any Wal-Mart health and beauty section.
Vitamin E taken orally and used topically can be a great help in returning the scar to a more "normal" consistency and texture.
Goo Luck!
