Anyone heard of VitaClear? and can you trust statement that has not been evaluated by the FDA?

The VitaClear by Guthy-Renker Nutrition that comes free with Proactiv product. A dietary supplement it says. But there is this statement "Specially formulated to reduce the appearance of acne!*" but it also noted that the statement has not been evaluated by the FDA. So, I would like to know is it safe to take? I am worried it won't be safe or something because it has 1 pocket contains 4 different pills and I am 17 (don't quite like pill stuff because of worrying side effects). So, I want to know if it is safe to take it or not. Please help, thanks in advance.

Dietary Supplements are not evaluated like drugs. They are held to food manufacturing standards. Safety and efficacy are typically not tested like pharmaceuticals either. They should be safe enough, but there reall isn't any way to tell what side effects it may have on you. Talk to your parents before you take it.
