Back acne for a 33 year old man?


I am 33 years old, in good general health, not obese and I do not have any other skin problems. The occasional zit (maybe once a month) will show up on my face or somewhere else but that's it.

Although there has always been the occasional zit on my back, in the last 6-8 months it has become much worse. Scrubbing the daylights out of it with soap, or clearasil body wash or other salicylic acid treatments, or getting my wife to dab zit cream on them....nothing has worked.
Sounds like it's time for a visit to the dermatologist but I was wondering if anyone here had any knowledge of this. I did not have severe acne as a teenager.

I do drink a fair amount of caffeine but that has always been the case.

i know a girl amd her brother who had bad acne...they put them on some type of antibiotic i think. it worked great for them.

im not sure how long she was on it though she told me but i cant remember.

sometimes cleaning acne isnt always the best choice. my aunt usta get things horrible on her legs and face just bc of the water she was cooking and drinking.

Can I use benzoyl peroxide face wash, salicylic acid astringent, and nivea for men moisturizer?


Is that an ok regimen to fight acne? or should I change one of the products?Is it ok to use both the benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid? Also, can i use the benzoyl peroxide cream face wash as an on the spot treatment? as in can i just put a dab on a huge pimple at night?

You might want to just choose one and use the moisturizer with it. Because using too many different products might dry out your skin and be less effective against acne overall.
