Winter Acne Treatment

can you personalize my acne regimen?

i want to start over. i have moderate and occasionally mild acne i think. i break out once a month, you know when. i have oily/combination and want to get rid of my acne and visable pores on my cheeks. so right now i've been using:
clean&clear morning burst shine control cleanser
and visibly even neutrogena moisturizer
then at night
shower and exfoliate with st. ives apricot blemish control
then oxy face wash
then oxy spot treatment.
i have zits on my back and chest too. i really need help! what should my new routine be? should i continue those or what? please do not say proactive! and if i don't exfoliate daily i get patches of dry. probobly either because of my treatments drying my skin out or because its winter. thank you!

You need to retrain your skin, the dry patches appear because you are scrubbing your skin too much which makes it regenerate itself too frequently, cut down on the exfoliation, a simple routine with no extra crap involved is best, an maximise sun exposure, with an SPF as it helps your body produce vit D which helps your skin.
Right, i would wash in a morning with a light creamy foaming wash and moisturise with a thick, creamy moist such as Nivea, or clinique magic moist, then i would do the same at night, no applying treatment unless you have a particularly bad breakout, then i would apply some tea tree oil spot treatment from the body shop.
This is my regime and i hardly get any spots anymore, i found the exfoliation caused more damage than it was worth, if you really struggle get a free skin test at a clinique or Skin origins counter, they are really helpful.

My Winter Skincare Favorites

what is the best treatment for pimples(acne) in winter season, if you have oily face?

Winter season usually means drier skin, which tends to hyper stimulate the oil glands. Trick is, use a wash with moisturizers, and lots of it. Sounds weird if you have oily skin to lather it up with moisturizers, but the drier you make your skin after cleansing, the more your skin will over compensate by producing more oil.
