Zone Body Pads No pulsation when I brake, but I know for a fact my front pads are worn. Am I making the right decision?
More specifically, I made an appointment tomorrow at a local auto body shop to have my front brake pads replaced for $200 when I know for a fact I can buy a pair at Auto Zone for $30. Last time their "guys checked," my rotors weren't in the best shape. I haven't felt any pulsation at all when I brake, yet every once in a while there's a faint burning smell. It'll be over $800 to have the rotors replaced as well, but if there aren't any warning signs, am I okay with just new pads?
If your rotors are not warped beyond specs, and there has been no steel to steel contact that would have cut groves into your rotors from continuing to use your brakes without sufficient brake pads possibly weakening them beyond specs for safety I'd say you may be better off to do them yourself. A lot of it depends on your knowledge of the different components of an automobile braking system, and in your case it would be the brake pads, and rotors. Many rotors will warp regardless it just depends on the amount of warp. A new set of pads would wear down following the warp. As for as the burnt smell that's telling you something. I'd look into that. I could be a few different things, but if it has a metallic odor of any kind it's probably that your pads are totally gone and the burning is from the steel to steel friction. Depending on how long your caliper rams have been out to the max, you may have to use extra strength to push it back down past the current line of corrosion. You can also asked if your rotors can be shaved back into specs if they are not to deeply grooved they can be refaced by shaving, but only to a point. Then you compromise the strength due to the thickness, and your back to square one. So do it right the first time.
Hello I just bought the BODY wash version for proactive solution. Inside there was only instructions on how to use the skin products.
I have: Deep Cleansing Wash, Clear Zone Body Lotion, and Clear Zone Body Pads. If this looks familair to you, can you please tell me the steps to apply these products while in the shower?
I don't think you guys read the description... I am asking how to use it. I guess my question is misleading...
I have not used these but all products are the same way. When you say this I am guessing you have some acne on places besides you face. I am going to blab on for a minute, so if you don't care and just want to know how to apply the stuff go down to the next paragraph. Most people who use or purchase proactiv have in fact not yet seen a dermatologist (specializes in acne treatment and prevention on people), you may have a rare case Acne Vulgaris (when acne can scar and if not treated properly will leave permanent marks on face, and or body, resulting in the appearance of irremovable acne. There are creams which the dermatologist will proscribe for you to apply after showering, after activity such as sports, working out, and right before bed. This cream has different names but the main one is Derma gel. This cream/gel does two things, removes bacteria from skin, cleans pores and also prevents/heals scarring due to acne vulgaris. This cream retails for under $50.00 and lasts about 6 months depending on usage frequency.
Okay, how to use what you have?
1) Wash, shampoo and soap yourself clean before doing the next steps.
2) While still in the shower apply warm water to body (to open pores) then use the deep cleansing wash to penetrate the pores and clean them (you only need a small squirt on the cleansing wash to clean, just enough to get all the areas you want).
3) Next apply the body lotion onto the areas you wish while in the shower (the lotion tends to have a high boyency, meaning it can be sticky). It should wash off.
4) After showering and drying yourself off either with a towel (do not rub dry, always pat dry) or just air drying use the body pads onto the areas you wish. This will reduce blackheads and breakouts in the area's you want cleaned of acne.
5) Read the side of the products, usually it tells your directions on them. Those should have a little more detail to them in regards to how to use, scrub and rinse, etc.
Goodluck to you and I hope Proactiv helps you.
The person below me is saying it stopped because the body has a way to get used to treatments and/or workouts the body is having. After using a certain product for a certain time you must change it up, maybe use the soap before you use the proactiv, or use proactiv before you shower. It is really up to you.
